Friend. Mandala #1

While working on the main painting, "Friend.", I also worked on four, smaller paintings. "Friend." was something very planned and then constructed. These four paintings are supposed to be much more looser and spontaneous.

"Friend: Mandala #1" was painted from the center to the outside, as I switched colors from dark blue, to violet, red, orange, yellow, light green and finally, light blue. The sense of depth is lovely - it's hard to understand that the painting is perfectly flat.
